Meet Dr. Wharton
Brook Wharton, MD, provides expert OB/GYN care at The Association for Women’s Health Care, serving women from the area around The Loop in Chicago and Northbrook, Illinois. She performs numerous office procedures and supports women in their first trimester of pregnancy. Dr. Wharton also treats abnormal Pap smears, abnormal uterine bleeding, irregular periods, urinary tract infections, and vaginitis. She helps patients navigate the symptoms and health concerns that arise around menopause.
Dr. Wharton graduated from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, and received a master’s degree from Columbia University. She completed her medical school education at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia where she also did her internship. She completed her residency at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago.
She’s currently affiliated with Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Prentice Women’s Hospital in Chicago and serves as a faculty member at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Wharton received numerous awards, including the 2006 Best Resident Educator and 2010 Family Medicine External Faculty Award.
